All thanks to the Frontsight Challenge

As everybody should know, I love my guns. Since I was little, they've always been my favorite noisemaker, but after Tim introduced me to hunting just a couple short years ago, I've revived that passion. Now I don't want to sound like some stereotypical crew-cut military stepfather who lives, eats, and breathes the NRA, nor do I want to sound like a Ruby Ridge radical bent on the trampling the middle ground public and hurtling the dead anti-gun people, but I do want to share my thoughts with those I care about.
I happened to come across a TV show on the VS network maybe a year ago called the Front Sight Challenge, a competition that is promoted by the Front Sight Firearms Training Resort in Las Vegas. I don't want to sound like I'm plugging the show or anything, I just love the idea that the resort televises an in-house competition based on their teachings. If anybody ever comes across this show, give it a shot, it's pretty damn awesome. If you don't, just ask, I have a bunch of them on the DVR, lol.
I've never been a very vocal person about things like this, mostly because it is so controversial, because so many people are so passionate about one side or the other regarding guns and gun control and all of that mess, I really don't want to go into a big debate about that. I do want to share this idea, and the show at least, with those I care about and with those I know that would have an open mind, be open to the concept, not maintain their preconceptions.
Dr. Piazza, the founder of the resort, has been in the news in many different venues, from the obvious in gun magazines to newspapers around the world, obviously on TV, as I've explained, on the web, and so forth. I was amazed that he is a philanthropist too, my first experience being reading a newsletter that he gave scholarships to the resort to the surviving students from Professor Librescu's class in the wake of the Virginia Tech shootings, so that these students, should they be put in the same situation again, would be able to defend themselves and those around them.
